Kaity Holmes
Hello! My name is Kaity Holmes, and I am a passionate filmmaker raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I am now proudly based in Chicago, Illinois, where I have worked for the past 4 years. I am in the final stages of completing a Bachelor of Arts in Film and Television Production with a concentration in Creative Producing at DePaul University.
As a producer, I have brought to life a variety of projects that celebrate themes of queer joy and explore the power of social transformation. I hope that my work is able to spread light and highlight stories that are often underrepresented in the media today.
Beyond film production, I have also honed my expertise in live event and broadcast production. I have collaborated with WGN to coordinate live events, including Whitney’s Wishlist 2024. In this role, my eye for detail in high-pressure environments thrived. Additionally, I have served as a booking producer on The Whitney Reynolds Show since November of 2024, facilitating engaging interviews and coordinating key production elements.
My commitment to the vibrant Chicago creative scene matches my dedication to my craft. I thrive on collaboration, working with others to craft projects that resonate with audiences on both local and national levels. My ability to balance creative ambition with practical execution has earned me a reputation as a reliable and innovative producer.
When I’m not behind the camera, I enjoy exploring Chicago’s independent bookstores and local cinemas. I love to read, crochet, and craft whenever possible.
Looking ahead, I am excited to continue creating films and projects that challenge perspectives, uplift marginalized voices, and leave a lasting impact. I remain committed to fostering creativity, connection, and change through the power of film and media.
